Good evening,

Diane is correct: The water will be just minutes out of a glacier and it
will be brutally cold.  That’s bad news.

No, wait… that’s good news because the feet will be numb almost immediately
so you won’t feel the sharp rocks.

On second thought, that’s bad news because it’s easy to get hurt when numb
feet can’t feel the sharp rocks before they're cut.

But that could be good news because very cold water motivates a hiker to
move across quickly.

However, that could be bad news because most of these glacial out-flow
streams are the color of milk due to fine rock dust and the bottom can’t be
seen well enough to move quickly.

One can see good news or bad news:  The difference is attitude.
