If you want to check out how an older (much older than you), slower (also
probably slower than you) hiker got Oregon done you can check out my trail
journal on Trailjournals.com - at end of PCT journal on 2009 and 2010 and
the PCT 2011. Point being just that there are many ways to go and all of
them don't have to involve 20 mile days although I did get one 21 mile day
in. Hopefully you won't have as much snow as I did around Sisters but even
that was not impossible, even for me.
