Let's see. Day hiking:

A walk in either direction from Tuolomne Meadows. It's all to die for.

Agnew Meadows trail head out of Mammoth and hike up to Shadow Lake where
you cross the JMT and up to Lake Ediza, one of the most idyllic Alpine
lakes in the High Sierra. If you're fast, climb up to Cecil and Upper
Iceberg Lakes which sit directly at the base of the Minarets. You will see
God!!! And he might look like Zeus or Thor or Odin. For any of you
hiking the JMT for the first time. It's worth doing the JMT through this
section and not hiking the PCT which splits off at Agnew Meadows. The two
rejoin at Thousand Island Lake. It's just an alternate and route. The PCT
is known as the High Route at this point and has gorgeous views to the
Minarets, and Mts. Ritter and Banner, but the JMT is right beneath them
traveling past Ruby, Garnet, Sapphire and Shadow Lakes. The names were
aptly chosen. It's incredible. To me this is like not missing Eagle Creek
Falls just south of Cascade Locks. A no brainer. And then of course
there's Eagle Creek Falls to hike to for the day

Then there's a hike up Kearsarge pass out of Onion Valley, or just go as
far as you can from the Whitney Portal.

It goes on and on.
