[pct-l] Pct-L Digest, Vol 49, Issue 34 Re: Knee injury

Clay,

I torn or literally "crushed" the front of my right knee meniscus last summer. My knee did the same as yours: always swollen and worse and the end of the day. What was happening was pieces of the cartlidge was floating around behind my knee cap and was producing severe inflammation. A very quick MRI gave me all the info I needed and had my knee scoped on Oct. 21. That is a few days past three months and my knee feels great. You potentially have time in my very unprofessional opinion. Cartlidge will not heal on its own. Gotta have it fixed IF that is what it is. Glad I did.

See someone right away, whether it's a GP or a PT or an Orthopedic specialist - hopefully someone with experience with football/soccer/rugby/mma/martial arts- type injuries. Your symptoms suggest some damage that's not going to heal on it's own. Just get some help. Best wishes, Cruz Control
