[pct-l] Harts Pass CG

It's 30.5 miles on the PCT from Hwy 20 at Rainy Pass to Harts Pass, and
about 20 miles from Hwy 20 outside Winthrop/Mazama.

The Harts Pass road isn't all that bad once the snow is gone. You just need
to go slowly and pay attention as it has a number of blind curves and gets
rather narrow in some spots. The only "tricky" spot is Dead Horse Curve
early on because it was blasted out of a basalt cliff and usually has water
on it. The first several miles are paved; after that, it's unpaved. I've
driven it in my Dodge Caravan and in a pick-up truck, and I've seen regular
sedans in the Harts Pass parking lots. Four wheel drive is not needed; only
patience.

Does anyone know about how far it is from HWY 20 to the CG. A friend of mine
may be dropping me off there and I don't particularly want her driving up
that road.

Thanks!

Jerry
