[pct-l] Oregon trail report: north of Willamette Pass

We've been doing a 2 week section home from Willamette pass to cascade Locks starting July 1.

July 2, north of Irish lake, mile 1940, solid snow above 5500'. Difficult trail finding. Nasty snowbanks north of Dumbell lake to Elk Lake 

July 3+4, Solid snow, 4-8' , above 5300' at horse lake trail, mile 1963, navigated only by Halfmile's fabulous waypoints all the way to south Matthew Lake at mile 1988.

We skipped the Jefferson/Washington section to Ollallie Lake and have have no snow from there to Timberline lodge.

With all the sunshine, there should be a lot of melting going.
