[pct-l] Tricky Oregon Patches in mid-August?

I seem to recall a really super cold, somewhat potentially fatal  
glacial stream coming off Mt. Jefferson. Otherwise I found Oregon  
mostly benign even with a little snow here and there. Well, the  
mosquitoes were anything but benign. They have snowmelt mosquitoes  
there so if there's still a lot of snow come August, don't forget  
your head net and deet.
