[pct-l] Cascade melt-out

Here's an interesting blog post from a Seattle-based meteorologist
describing how the Cascade melt-out has been trending later and later over
time.  This leads into a brief discussion of global warming and I don't want
to start political rants on pct-l, so let's all agree to kind of skip over
