 I wish I didn't even apply for a
permit

Three years of working in Stehekin left me with the impression that more
people are hiking back south than one would guess. Leaving me to believe
that it's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.

Personally, I'd rather hike back to Stehekin, but that's just me.
