If you have not yet made plans to attend Trail Fest this year, you should.
We are going to have some great classes including:

 

"Using a GPS device on the PCT" by Half-Mile.  

"Trail Photography" by Mark Larabee and Eric Valentine.  

"History of the PCT" by Barney Mann.  

"PCT Day Hikes and Section Hikes" by Jordan Summers.  

"Wilderness First Aid Options" by Dr. Ken Murray.  

"Geology of the PCT" by Greg Hummel and Paul Hacker.  

"Wildlife on the PCT" by Robin Eliason.  

"The Muir Project" by a group of film makers that made a feature length
documentary about the JMT.  

"Horses on the PCT" by Jerry Stone.  

 

We are also going to have some audience participation/discussion classes:
"Let's Talk Gear," "Let's Talk Hiking Logistics," and "Let's Talk Trail
Maintenance."

 

There will also be a gear and information fair, a silent auction,
presentations by the PCTA and the agency partners,  and lots more.

 

Trail Fest is at the Northwoods Resort in Big Bear, California on July 27,
28, 29.  Check the PCTA's website at www.PCTA.org  for registration
information and more details about the other events on the schedule
including the Friday and Saturday night activities, volunteer awards
ceremony, and the Sunday hike on the nearby PCT.
