[pct-l] Thru-Hike, Explorer Style

Personally I have not hiked the pct other than a few sections in southern Cali and Yosemite. the sections I have hiked there has been an ample supply of squirrels and other small game. I think this would be the ideal way to do it, I would love others input on the amount of small game you have seen within 10 yards ( this is an easy striking distance for many slingshot and pistol pellet guns) of the trail.  Legal issues aside my theory is you could walk the trail with a slingshot or pellet pistol within easy reach and with 15 mile days be able to get at least enough to make it, if you eat the vital organs( liver, lungs, heart, and brain. 
Also Search " wilderness survival: the badwater walkabout " on YouTube, the head of California survival school walks from desert valley natl park to mt. Whitney portal and survives off the land. You can get an Idea of what you may encounter as well as ways to make it at least in a small section of the trail. I hope this helps.
