[pct-l] Loyal PCT Hiker

Our intrepid PCT hero, Grizzly, was outhiking and fishing in the Sierras. All at once he gets a cell phone call in anarea with coverage. 

It was his doctor, who was also a big hiker and fisherman too.  He was notifying him that his wife had justbeen in a terrible accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU. 

Grizzly told the doctor he would be there as soon as possible. As he hung up herealized he was leaving what was shaping up to be his best day ever at thelake. He decided to get in a couple of more casts before the short hike out andheading to the hospital. 

He ended up fishing the rest of the morning, finishing his trip with a stringerlike he'd never seen, with 3 trout over 7 pounds. He was jubilant....then heremembered his wife. 

Feeling guilty he hiked out and dashed to the hospital. He saw the doctor inthe corridor and asked about his wife's condition. 

The doctor glared at him and shouted, "You went ahead and finished yourfishing trip didn't you!  I hope you'reproud of yourself.  While you were outfishing for the past four hours, enjoying yourself on the lake, your wife hasbeen languishing in the ICU!  It's justas well you went ahead and finished because it will be more than likely thelast fishing trip you ever take!  For therest of her life she will require 'round the clock care.  And you'll be her care giver!" 

Grizzly was feeling so guilty he broke down and sobbed. 

The doctor then snickered and said, "I'm just jacking with you.  She's dead.  What'd you catch? "
