Yes, Switchback has arrived in Lone Pine at the Dow Villas Motel.  This is one of the most famous PCT trailtowns.  The fish dinner at the Merry Go Round was excellent with carrot cake chaser.  Mt. Whitney is still there too.  It has not moved.  Tomorrow I will have breakfast up at Bishop at Jacks.  Then a run to the bakery for goodies to bring back home.  Lunch will be at the Whitney Portal store.  Around 5-6 I will go up to 10,000 feet at the Horseshoe Meadows parking lot.  I will test some of my new sleeping gear.  Then back down to the Dow and the Merry Go Round for copious amounts of fun.
