[pct-l] the bear at Palisade Lake

Yoshi,
Fantastic Photo Gallery.
The JMT in all its glory.
The poor bear looks malnourished however...looks like he has not had a hiker for a while.
It seems bear canisters are taking their toll on bears.
Pre-canister bears seemed to look better fed and less malnourished.

Yes,....it seems humans are not the only ones suffering economic hardship now-days.

JMT was very dry and hot in this summer. No flowers, No blonde beauty.
But I saw bear three times. At first, I saw a bear near the bear
cannister of Korean hikers living in USA at Lyell Canyon in the
midnight. He run away immediately. He may have not special interest to
my Japanese food.

At the second time, I walked as an robot near the junction to MTR. The
bear in the bush run away very rapidly. He may be astonished to my
robot-like walking. I could not take his photos.

At the third time, I took several photos of bear. It was the early
morning at the lower Palisade Lake. I saw a bear in the far place (
around 100 meters ). I called him, and asked to take his photos. He
looked at me, and I took his photos. He was young good looking bear.
