Go with the Jet Boil.  By the time the you add a pot and a wind screen to
the alcohol stove, the Jet Boil is only slightly heavier, if at all.  The
Jet Boil is faster, it is much more convenient and easier to use, you can
easily adjust the flame, the fuel will never spill, and you will not burn
down the rest of the forests that are out there.  Add the French press
attachment and it makes a fantastic cup of coffee.

Thanks for all the  advice coming in on cooking systems.  But, can anyone
tell me the weight on their configuration?  My JetBoil is 14oz with one fuel
canister, the actual cooking mug, the neoprene cover, and the plastic cup.
Is that way heavier than yours?  I really like that JetBoil--it preforms
like a champ--fast--easy!!!!!  I want to keep using it--if it compares
