Thank you Ken, and everyone, for enlightening me as to who JMT Reinold really is. I haven't been on this board long enough and, was giving him the benefit of the doubt until now.

"Julia, I do believe JMT's post was very much "tongue in cheek". Many times
things get misunderstood when in the written word, we don't have the benefit of
voice inflection to let others know our statement is being made in a fun way. I
don't know Reinold personally but, I have read enough of his post to know he is
a good person and in no way trying to insult anyone. Terry"Terry, I DO know him
personally, and this was not written "tongue in cheek". I say that because this
keeps coming up regarding him, and there is a constantrefrain from women hikers
who are offended. In my physical presence, he was asked to leave the KO because
of the offensive remarks he was making, and the repeatedcomplaints from women
participants. He is not welcome there. Some have expressed concern that they
would encounter him on the trail. In the context of this site, he appears to be
a "troll" in the traditional sense, posting things simply to provoke people and
anger them, and he appears to LOVEgetti
ng the attention and responses. He particularly likes to do this each year just
before people start hiking, seeminglyfor no other reason than making them worry
about him.
