I had a case of tendonitis a few years ago.  Went to see my orthopedics guy;
he prescribed a course of PT. I went to PT for three days a week for two
or three months. The treatment was successful and it did get "cured".

I used to have the malady after just about every soccer game I played. (90
minutes of running will do that).
Advidce I got many years ago: Get an instep insert (hard) into your
shoes/boots.
Worked great for me, and that was many, many years ago. I still hike with
those hard inserts in my hiking boots, and have never had any pain (except
when you get a rock inside!!).

Hey y'all, I just got to mt. Laguna and I have some tendonitis in my left
archilles tendon that just started this morning. The tendon is sore and it
hurts to walk, and it looks a little bruised. How should I care for it? I'm
taking tomorrow off to rest it, but if it hurts after that can I hike on
it? Or do i need to rest until it's completely healed and doesn't hurt at
all? And what sort of care can i do for it without ice? Any and all tips
greatly appreciated.
