One thing that is always a problemon the trail is body odor. Hikers try tostay clean and charming, but it is hard when you are banging out the miles downthe PCT.
One day, Grizzly and his mates weredoing some big miles on the JMT. They come up on a great camp site at the endof the long day. A group of prettyfemale hikers were already camping on the other side of the creek.
The guys start to take off theirpacks and make camp on their side of the creek. Eventually, one of the ladies comes across the creek and speaks toGrizzly. She politely says that the odorfrom the guy’s campsite is upsetting the gals. Could they please wash and change clothes?
Grizzly responded that he completelyunderstood their request and would speak to the guys immediately. Grizzly then goes over to his mates and says,“Looks guys, the ladies across the creek are offended by our hiking odor and requestedthat we change clothes.”
In hiker logic, they immediatelytook off their clothes and exchanged them with one another.

The moral of the story is that: Someonemay come along and promise “change”, but don't count on thingssmelling any better.
