No not the least bit over sensitive just pointing out you start alienating people when you choose political attacks to try to make your point. But then again as I believe you are from the mountain bike side then I can understand your wish to drive a wedge on this site.

As I was thinking of an example of leaders of a movement being like lemmings in believing something that was simply not true, I thought about the specter of Karl Rove throwing a gasket as he, and the entire Tea Party movement, thought that they were going to win the last election by a huge percentage, instead of by a significant margin in the other direction. In fact, they lost by a significant margin in the other direction. Reportedly, significant donors to them were majorly upset at being deceived, and looked to withdraw funding in the future.

>> I agreed with your response until you decided to throw a political hand grenade into the mix. Both sides lie and deceive both as bad as the other. So please leave the petty politics out of it. Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever party you sing up to has nothing to do with saving the PCT for hikers and equestrian users. There is no place for derision in the one forum where the love of hiking should know now borders. Bring on all hikers of all beliefs, races, religions and political or sexual orientation. The trail makes no distinction neither should we. Our only common enemy should be those trying to teardown that which we hold dear, the PCT.
