[pct-l] Trail Angel at Carson Pass

Having a trail angel at Carson Pass is a great idea, keeping in mind it's
only another 12 trail miles north to Echo Summit (Highway 50) and a hitch
to South Lake Tahoe. Hikers planning an SLT stop will likely want to just
continue on...but for the others it would be great as there are really no
good options at that highway crossing.

There is no land line or cell reception at the pass and for a *long* way
west, but  if you walk east on Highway 88 about 1/4 mile to a large paved
overlook of Red Lake (gorgeous view), you can often get a signal from
Hawkins Peak off in the far distance. That same tower provides reception to
the PCT quite a bit, esp. near (and at) Raymond Lake.
