Someone posted that they miss not being able to have pancakes for breakfast while on tbhe trail. That one is very easy to solve. I bought along a very lightweight, non stick, titanium frying pan. I sometimes made pancakes, using my adjustable canister stove.  I brought along a small amount of margarine, syrup, and jam.  I also used the frypan to fry the trout that I sometimes caught.  I used peanut oil to fry fish. It does not break down from the heat of frying and is easy to strain and reuse. I'm from the Mendocino coast. Restaurants there use peanut oil to deep fry seafood.
