1. It has already been done in various ways,shapes, & means, but Leave No Trace guidelines suffice, e.g.,

2. You're "preaching to the choir" - those that would really 'need' it, won't bother to read it...

3. It can be said simply with a single word - "RESPECT"...  
Respect other hikers, the trail angels, the trail town people & businesses, the wildlife, the environment, the PCT itself, etc., etc. ...
Be an 'ambassador' for the trail and for the hikers that will come after you...
