[pct-l] r.e. Guffy Campground

Sandals and I stayed at the Guffy campground during our 2010 thru-hike.  We
were there on May 22nd, a Saturday evening, and the place was completely
deserted. I have no idea whether it was officially open or not, but no one
gave us a hard-time about camping there.

The water source below the campground is a bit tricky to find, but if you
carefully follow the directions in Yogi's guide and/or the water report,
you should have no problem.

The campground has great views, but is pretty high up, and highly exposed.
As such, it might not be the best choice on a cold, windy night.  On the
other hand, if late season snow is in the forecast, it is a pretty safe
place to camp, because if the trail become gets snowed under during the
night, the dirt road from the campground down to the highway makes for a
safe and easily followed alternate route.

Has anyone stayed at Guffy Campground (~mi. 365)? Is it usually open by
early May? Is it a good camping option? Looks like it might be the only
water/camping available for 20+ miles after Cajon Pass....
