Since 2002, I've built just about every alcohol stove design out there, even
invented several of my own. I carry my own design, the Pika stove, which is
very light, flexible in needs, and fuel efficient. I've seen these
Smokeeater stoves on ebay, and the craftsmanship is incredible. The ability
to transfer fuel via tube from bottle while burning is new to alcohol stove
designs, and akin to white gas stoves we know so well. However, if the fuel
tube is damaged, your stove is useless. I don't see any info on his fuel
efficiency for boil times and the fuel quanitities used to boil. His weight
is low and reasonable, but I don't see a wind shield and bottle weight
included. Fuel useage is the heaviest constant of a stove system. I'm
neutral in my opinion for this stove design right now, only because it's new
and there's much to be learned from it. The SE908 is truly the new kid on
the block.
