You washed your undies first.  That's the big difference.  A gross out guy
just figures he and the undies get washed at the  same time.  In Leadore ID
this year, the laundry was closed by the time I got settled and so I did
the old put on everything and shower with it, soaping one layer at a time
till I was down to skin.  I smelled much better after that than when I
first hit town.
