Yes, Diane. I remember now; the road to Kennedy Meadows is the "9 - mile road".  When you come to the fork in the road - take it. Actually, more cars will be going to K.M.. If, hitching from 395, you are holding a sign saying "Kennedy Meadows" a K. bound car would pick you up.

FYI I think the name of the road to Kennedy Meadows is "9 Mile Road".  
The CREST bus will stop there if you ask but you might have to ask in  
advance, not sure. After that, it's a hitchhike and there is a fork  
in the road somewhere.
