[pct-l] Stabbing and attempted carjacking at Kennedy Meadows

Please see article below.  The person stabbed at Kennedy Meadows is a dear friend through the Florida Trail Association.  Russ (age 67) had driven his truck with slide-in camper from Orlando to Kennedy Meadows to acclimate before his permitted hike of the John Muir Trail.  He was so excited about this hike and trip, even being thrilled that he had a camping permit for Kennedy Meadows.  He is okay, but had to have more than 100 stitches.  His girlfriend here reports that he's elated because he survived the attack.  Not sure yet if he's still going to try the hike.
