There are two (maybe three) ways to tackle this:
- Find the phone with the best battery life and use it only when
needed, leaving the radio, GPS, and screen off when you don't (longest
battery life your device can give you), or,
- Find a phone with an owner removable battery and carry spares
charged up and ready to use, or,
- Get both in one.
