Monday was a rainy, windy and cold day - north half San Felipe Hills. A few had no rain gear and were soaked when reaching Barrel Springs. Hate to be a prude, but a rock firering was engineered at the camping site across and just north of the water source. A guy had a 3 foot collapsable Cheryl Strayed SAW and had warmed himself by cutting an armful of downed wood from the last fire (Pine) that had passed through the encampment. Lawrence went in on Tuesday morning to check on things.

Meadow Ed, no-one C-4'd the water source.

Last year at campsite #1 - Little Round Valley campground (not far from Fuller Ridge) a group (15) Boy Scouts had an Illegal fire, not extinguished , smoldering overnight and Cal-fire fought it all day and the next morning with at least 20 pin point water drops; H2O that was picked up in Banning. The Fire fighters had come up from Round Valley (9100'), nearly over San Jacinto peak(10,300') with full gear because that was the only available drop site.
Soooo people; it cannot stressed enough, to obey regulations and upgrade ones energy usage skills..
