I got a call last night from Laurence Peabody (Laurence the Spring Guy). Laurence is a volunteer who maintains the springs on Sections A,B, and C. He also helps Back Country Horsemen volunteers doing trail maintenance work. He mentioned that a woman is riding north on her horse, and that a long distance hiker from France with two donkeys are on the PCT somewhere on Section B.

Laurence mentioned that he had just talked to a member of a S&R project on Mission Creek. They had just recently returned and he told of many down trees and other trail damage along Mission Creek. It won't be passable by stock - it will be dangerous to try. Accidents have happened there in past years.  Laurence's next call was to be to Section Chief John Hatchey to see when crews will be up there to remove the trees.
