Ian had a very upsetting 2 weeks stay in the snowy high country and no doubt he would have loved to have had someone offer him some help finding his way but just to be clear, the "Ian Sarmento rescue" was the one in which Ian hiked out on his own, without asking for or receiving help from anyone, resupplied and continued on to Canada.
