Maybe this has been mentioned before but when it comes to effective
cleaning with minimal resources, I've used some of the waterless, liquid
hand cleaners (more like gels) that generally can be found in hardware
stores. Yes, they do weigh something but they are amazing at removing
EVERYTHING with no water at all. They may not be readily available in small
enough packages to be practical for lightweight packing but the stuff can
be transferred to smaller bottles or tubes.
