FYI, there were  concerns due to instances of  unusable food being dumped
by backpackers in the mountains after their Ursacks were  attacked by
bears, rendering the food inedible.  The Ursacks had survived the
encounter, but the hikers would not eat the resulting damaged food
(described as porridge)  and some of them dumped the food, defeating the
whole purpose of the bear resistant containers.

Just sayin....I think preserving food in an edible condition should be a
basic requirement for a bear resistant container. Any of the many approved
hard sided manufacturer's units does this...the Ursack does not.
