THE FOLLOWING IS BEING SENT BY JOHN'S SON ROB:

After surviving three different types of cancers, including Stage IV lung
cancer (Aug 2006), my father decided to hike the 2656 mile Pacific Crest
Trail in an effort to bring awareness and funding to lung cancer research.
On August 14th, he passed the 2000 mile mark. He realizes how fortunate he
is and is incredibly grateful for the extra years he has had, when so many
others have not.

When he began his "Hike of Hope" four years ago, his goal was to collect
$26,560, in honor of the mileage of the trek, to donate to lung cancer
research and do his part for others afflicted with this cancer. He is
within $800 of that goal! Please help him reach his goal today by donating
to the American Lung Association at Lungcancerhike.org.
