[pct-l] Getting to Idyllwild

Problem with taking the tram to reach the PCT at the top of Devil's Slide
Trail is that, according to the Mountain Fire Closure Map, all trails to
Saddle Junction are closed.

The only way to reach the PCT from the tram (per Mountain Fire Closure
Map) is through Little Round Valley which meets the PCT 0.5 miles north of
Seven Pines Trail cutting out a 5 mile section from Saddle Junction to
where Little Round Valley Trail comes in.

I've hitched both north and south on Hwy 243 to and from Banning and it's
fairly easy using a sign. Longest it took me to get a ride was 12 minutes.

>From Ontario there is public transportation to Banning and from Palm
Springs a taxi to Ziggy and Bear's is a short hop and someone there would
most likely be able to get you to Hwy 243 in Banning.... I'd call them
first to set it up if you take the Palm Springs option.
