On my PCT thru I hiked for a month then went home to help my best friend with her new born daughter. I was off the trail for two weeks. Just ran each day to stay in shape. It was fine.My mileage didn't drop. Easy transition both ways Marmot

Does anyone have experience taking a break from the trail for an event like this? The wedding will be in the Santa Cruz area so it's a real shame (for me) that I will have passed there by then.
