That would be my friend Craig (Oh, That Craig) of PCT Planner fame.
Don't be put off tech by his obsession with technology. He is a
special case, works in online media and software, and even wrote his
own programs running on his own server to handle the photos and
journal entries. He did a similar thing on his bicycle ride around
Australia.
