I have the old style Sansa Clip and it is 1.3 oz with the earbuds.  It takes
the Mini USB.  My wife just got the new version with the color screen (I
think they call it the Zip Clip).  I haven't weighed it yet, but it feels
about the same as mine.  In their infinite wisdom, though, they changed the
charger to a Micro USB so now I have to have two adapters.

I've used the SanDisk Sansa Clip 8GB.  It weighs in at .56oz but it does
have an internal battery.  The playing time is around 10 hours per specs but
I typically get closer to 12.  One of the features I like is that there is a
Sleep mode that you can select and the device will turn itself off in 2
hours or less.  The device has other features including an FM radio.   Here
