Welcome to the list-

Semper Fidelis. Me? US Army and US Air Force vet.
Congratulations to the youngster on making his way through boot camp. Hooah!

Here’s the beef on transportation links along the Highway 395 corridor / eastern sierra side.
You can punch out of the sierras, via numerous passes along the trail, putting you a day or two from Hwy 395.

The following link will take you to a localized shuttle operator along the Sierra Nevada range, providing rides from the trailhead to points beyond.

The following link will take you to the ESTA site, which runs shuttles from Lancaster to Reno.

The following link will take you to the Metrolink site, and will get you into LA from as far out as Lancaster.

The following link will take you to Alaska Airlines, which operates flights out of Mammoth Lakes, and you can catch an air shuttle to points beyond.

The following link will take you to the Los Angeles Metro link, including bus and light rail routes.

The following link will take you to Inyokern Airport’s site, which is serviced by 5 airlines.
If you make it to Walker Pass, or Kennedy Meadows, it’s not too much of a jump distance wise, (Hwy 178) to the airport to the east.

All of these links are in the mile 600 to mile 900 range of the PCT.

Best of luck.
