[pct-l] Trail Work

Trail work is hard. I know because I volunteer and actually do PCT trail work. Gas powered cutters get a lot of trail cleared in a short amount of time. I choose not to operate, but understand the need. We need more volunteers to clear the PCT. When a trail crew clears the trail, they know it may be 5 years or more before they come back. That is why it seems excessive if you walk by in the first couple of years. You have no idea what that means. Before you judge, join a trail crew. The government is not going to do it for you. For most, they come through only once, and complain a lot about the condition of the trail. Those people make me question why I do the trail work. It makes me mad!! I love this trail and have done trail work in California and Washington (with the North 350 Blades). I am leading a trail crew for women in August in Big Crow Basin. Come join the fun.
