[pct-l] Full net bug bivy?

A few years ago I picked up a Mombasa double size travel bug net; the green one. A little heavy, but having the size to create a bug free room to relax in, eat, sleep etc, has been especially nice over the years. I've been able to set it up in many configurations using hiking poles, sticks, branches, rocks, you name it. Also works well with a basic tarp, and can set up before or after rigging the tarp. Being green it is pretty stealthy, and also easy to see out of day or night. The bottom is open, but I found the excess material is easily tucked under pad or held down with rocks, pack gear or whatever. I've sure liked the ability to rig it up and get a little respite when the skeets are swarmin, or the gnats are particularly pesky at lower elevations. A friend had the white drape type bug net in No.Cal I tried for a few nights and the skeets got thru that material. I got bit up every night using the white one. When I switched to my green was fine.
I think the Mombasa double is about $16.00, and could easily be modified. I just tied some long lengths of light braided string to the eyelets and always ready to go... Just my two cents worth. Simplicity that has served me well.
