A friend of mine intends to do the PCT this year and for personal reasons really wants to walk from his home near San Diego to Campo. Does anyone have advice on the most walker-friendly route from the vicinity of the San Diego airport to Campo? He would particularly be interested in alternatives to walking on highway 94. Thanks!
