[pct-l] [SPAM] Disrespect of the PCT

It has been shown many times that 95% of the litter is caused by 5% of the
population, but it is experienced by all. Blaming the ADZPCTKO for the
misbehaviors of the few is like blaming car owners for all the stolen cars.
Likewise, since 1999 the ADZPCTKO has been held 16 times. During that
period, the number of hikers on the trail, and the number of ADZPCTKO
attendees have steadily risen. Which is the cause and which is the effect,
or are these occurrences independent? In 1999, when I started hosting
hikers here in San Diego, I hosted 17. This year, counting all the San
Diego hiker hosts, the number of hosted hikers has exceeded 400. Does
anyone want to blame us hiker hosts for litter and other antisocial behavior
on the trail? Don't be shy, bring it on. But be careful of making
assumptions and stating them as opinions on subjects about which you know
nothing at all. If this post puts an end to the thread, then I have
succeeded. Hike on !! And Good Luck to the Class of 2014, who are just as
fit, just as deserving, and just as welcome as all who preceded them. BR,
San Diego
