[pct-l] Water news?

Walt,

When I visited Golden Oaks Springs some time back the amount of water flowing through the pipe to the horse trough was about a quart per minute. But if one had some sort of tubing or straw and could reach through the barbwire fence it was possible to tap into a better flow that was coming out of the ground near the spring "box".

Subject: [pct-l] Water news?

The last water report for Golden Oaks Spring at mile 583.3 - north if Tehachapi - shows just a "trickle." That was on 4-19.  The report also says the TA who uses to maintain caches in that area will not do so this year.  Bad news. That 40 mile stretch from Tehachapi trailhead to the first reliable water source at Robin Bird Spring at mile 602, is rugged and exposed.

Does anyone know of a more recent report at golden oaks spring?  Or whether another TA will volunteer to maintain a trail cache along that stretch?
