I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner.

The one I was referring to, are my far the best. Their title is The Pacific
Crest Trail (either Southern CA, Northern CA or OR/WA combined). The main
author is Jeffrey P. Schaffer. I am sorry to say Jeff is no longer up dating
and having them published. You should easily fine them in most book stores
(unless they have sold all their stock) and certainly at amazon.com.  I have
also seen them at USFS offices (again, till their stock runs out). They'll
be fairly easy to find for some more years but yes, the day will come where
there are only private, individual copies. When Jeff made his decision I
bought two sets. At this point I'm keeping all that I have. I'm sorry I
can't help you out but amazon.com is where I'd turn.
