[pct-l] Ride from Castella to Lake Tahoe needed

Tell him to hitch north on the I-5 to Dunsmuir, CA and take the
Amtrak.  A train goes to Sacramento, CA and then an Amtrak connnector
bus will take him to South Lake Tahoe.  The downside is Amtrak picks
up in Dunsmuir in the middle of the night.

Go to Amtrak's website to buy a ticket and use DUN (Dunsmuir,CA) as
the starting station and SLT (South Lake Tahoe, A) as the destination
station.  It will give you the Coast Starlight train and bus 3424.

Amtrak also has an android app you can use to buy a ticket from your
smartphone and show an e-ticket to the conductor when you get on.  You
must pre-purchase a ticket since the Dunsmuir station isn't manned at
night and the train sometimes doesn't stop if they don't know anyone
wants to get on (if no passenger is gettting off).
