[pct-l] MAP and compass

A compass is a means of orienting a map.  Not the only means of course, but 
the most used in modern times.

And before maps, there were cairns. Before that, memory. But when the map
alone doesn't help you for whatever reason, the are no cairns or memory to
rely on, then what?

Map AND compass and the skills to use them.

If map was always enough for everyone, I would have never felt like sending
the original email.
