I second the thought that you have to try them on. Even within Altras, small tweaks in the height (not just width) of the toebox between versions has affected size for me. I have a women's size 10 in the Altra Provision1.5, but just got the Provision 2.0 in size 9.5. There were major updates to this road shoe: sole, midfoot fit (better) & toebox height (more/better). In the Altra Lone Peak 2.0, I take size 10. Vasque trail shoes (which I hiked the PCT in), I started in 9.5, had to go up to size 10 after 1200 miles. Street shoe size is 8.5-9! Try 'em on! A good local running store that caters to trail runners is a recommended, in addition to REI or a local hiking outfitter.
