There are only a few long (150mi) stretches between convenient (close
to trail) resupply stops on the PCT.

Also remember that the less you carry, the more comfortable you will
be hiking. And in the long summer days in June and July, 10-12 hours a
day of walking can easily and comfortably turn into 25-30 mile days
with  4-6 hours of daylight rest. That really cuts down on the food
weight since the long stretches get covered in fewer days.
