Sooooo, we wait a few weeks until the new maps become official?

And, should we then delete the app from our phone/pad and then reload? Will
this make the NEW maps appear?

Thx for the help.

Mademoiselle

Nathan,
I hiked this past year and met Halfmile several times. He was rehiking the
entire trail himself and doing it with much improved GPS equipment.
As a result I would assume the 2015 set will be improved over the 2014 set.
However, as PaintYourWagon has said, the trail is the trail and it ain't
going anywhere.

Please read about all Halfmile's updates on his website at
http://www.pctmap.net/2015/02/about-the-2015-halfmile-updates/ along with
his recommendations. In addition Jackie "Yogi" McDonnell on her website
offers a partial set printed based upon what is currently available. See:
http://www.yogisbooks.com/pacific-crest-trail/halfmile-map-set-printing-serv
ices-1.

So it's up to you. Since I started in mid-April last year and it's only
mid-February, I would wait about a month, but that's dependent on your start
date and as a result your-mileage-may-vary.

Sincerely,
Tartan PCT 2014
